The TAR-263M is an advanced Automatic Recloser RCCB engineered to automatically restore power supply after nuisance tripping caused by temporary earth leakage faults. Combining intelligent reclosing technology with reliable residual current protection, this device significantly improves supply continuity in residential, commercial, and infrastructure applications while maintaining the highest standards of electrical safety.
The TAR-263M Automatic Recloser RCCB represents a significant advancement in electrical protection technology, addressing one of the most common challenges in modern electrical installations: nuisance tripping due to temporary earth leakage faults. This intelligent device combines traditional RCCB protection with an automatic reclosing mechanism that attempts to restore power supply after a trip event.
When an earth leakage fault occurs, the RCCB trips to protect against electric shock hazards. The integrated recloser then automatically attempts to restore power after a predetermined delay. If the fault was temporary (such as moisture, transient surges, or environmental conditions), power is successfully restored without manual intervention. The device employs an intelligent progressive delay sequence across 6 attempts, allowing sufficient time for temporary faults to clear.
After 6 unsuccessful reclosing attempts, the system locks out and requires manual reset, ensuring that persistent faults are not repeatedly energized. This smart logic provides the optimal balance between supply continuity and electrical safety, making it ideal for critical applications where power interruption must be minimized.
The device features auxiliary contacts for integration with building management systems, remote monitoring, and alarm circuits, enabling proactive maintenance and fault diagnosis in modern smart installations.
Recloser Mechanism: The TAR-263M incorporates a sophisticated automatic reclosing mechanism rated for 220/240V AC at 50Hz, with a power consumption of 30VA. The recloser activates within 0.4 to 1.0 seconds after an RCCB trip and executes up to 6 automatic reclose attempts with progressively increasing delays (10s, 20s, 30s, 60s, 120s, and 600s). This intelligent delay sequence allows temporary faults to clear while preventing rapid cycling on persistent faults.
RCCB Protection: The residual current protection is rated at 63A with a 100mA sensitivity (I∆n), suitable for fire protection and equipment safety applications. The 1P+N configuration provides protection for single-phase circuits. With a rated breaking capacity of 500A and conditional short-circuit current rating of 6kA, the device offers robust protection even under fault conditions.
Auxiliary Contacts: Equipped with 1 NO + 1 NC dry contacts rated for 250V / 2A, enabling remote status indication, alarm signaling, and integration with SCADA or building management systems.
Construction: Features an electromechanical trip unit for superior reliability and immunity to electronic interference. The device is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting with IP20 protection degree, suitable for installation in standard distribution boards and enclosures.
Durability: Rated for 5,000 electrical cycles, ensuring long service life in demanding applications. The padlockable design allows for secure lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance.
Environmental Performance: Operates reliably across an extended temperature range of -35°C to +70°C with humidity tolerance up to 93%, making it suitable for harsh environmental conditions including outdoor installations and tropical climates.
